AFI Office House wins the “Accessibility Leader” Award!
We have just celebrated the final gala of the 11th edition of the “Accessibility Leader” Architectural and Urban Planning Competition, held at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw.
The Grand Prix in the “Office/Retail Building” category was awarded to AFI Office House at 22 Towarowa Street in Warsaw.
A well-thought-out design does not require special, eye-catching solutions to ensure accessibility. The building and all of its spaces are accessible, as are the multi-level garden with its pergola terrace and the rooftop terrace.
Accessibility goes beyond the interior. It also means making the city and public spaces accessible: no fences or enclosed courtyards, an open-to-all lobby and an open workspace.
The building also features step-free access throughout, a lowered reception desk, automatic doors, strategically positioned access control devices, and solutions designed to improve acoustic comfort.
