The Transformation of the BGK Headquarters Continues

Construction work at the BGK building is progressing steadily and has now entered the interior finishing phase. We would therefore like to present a selection of the most significant views of the project, accompanied by a brief description.

The building’s most important historic spaces are being restored in accordance with conservation best practices. The Central Operations Hall will serve as the main lobby while also accommodating a programme of temporary exhibitions, lectures, conferences, and public talks.

The entrance from Nowy Świat Street has been transformed into a covered courtyard, creating a welcoming and accessible arrival space.

Another distinctive feature of the project is the system of semi-transparent meandering partitions, which form a buffer zone between the halls while providing intimate alcoves known as “focus rooms” for individual work and informal meetings.

In the basement, within the former vault, a conference facility and the Museum of the Place will be created. The museum will display artefacts uncovered during the construction works, alongside materials presenting the history of the Bank. Located between the conference rooms, it will form an integrated exhibition space that combines the building’s heritage with its new public function.

The first floor will house the Management Board area, including the Rose Room, a former boardroom discovered during the renovation works. The building has also been expanded with a new two-storey open-plan office space located within the rooftop extensions, as well as a roof terrace in the southern section of the building, available for employees.
