Traugutta Interiors

Historic interiors known from painted depictions and archival photography, alongside contemporary reinterpretations of timeless interior design themes. Layered spatial sequences of views, planes, textures, and ornamentation. Light emerging within distant frames, windows, and partially open doors. At times, a miniature vista revealed in a remote window speaks to the viewer more evocatively than an entire glass curtain wall.

The illustrations present interior design proposals for both new-build and revitalized historic buildings within the Traugutta residential development on the Oława River in Wrocław, as well as a range of inspiring motifs drawn from painting, cinema, and photography.
