The Wilson Park

The location of the plot in the immediate vicinity of the historic park, with its dominant southwestern exposure to the greenery, makes the investment site unique. The park is undoubtedly a value in itself - it is the best neighborhood for residential development giving it attractive views, friendly and defined functions, also used by future residents of the planned development.

Analyzing the neighboring development, taking into account the unusual proximity of the park and its old trees, the principle of building six independent (in visual perception) buildings, forming three double pairs, was adopted. Each of the buildings in the central part contains an internal staircase and an elevator belonging to the outer wall. The project site becomes part of a park, in which a free arrangement of buildings is located. The park space "surrounds" the individual buildings, the presence of greenery is not the privilege of only the "better" apartments overlooking the park. Greenery is present in the surroundings of the houses, accompanies when entering the entrance halls, reveals itself on the east side in the clearances between the buildings.

The separation of the buildings - the size of the projection in relation to the height, gives each of them vertical proportions, similar to the character and proportions of the buildings of the immediate surroundings. The vertical arrangement of the slots, the exposed elevator shaft and the delicate façade faults, allude to the tectonics of the form of twentieth-century townhouses. 

The free but orderly geometry of the plan, in space, creates an organic image of the ensemble in views from the park, while from the other side it is an appropriate response to the rather haphazard, "unfinished" form of the existing buildings. The designed buildings fill the space given to them, without creating obliging frontages and frontages.

Concave facades obscured by silver louvers build the atmosphere and architectural expression of each building and the whole establishment. Bent balconies - loggias, in the views from the apartments "embrace" the emerging greenery, treating the window - opening, as framed panoramic picture. Expressive shape, giving individuality to new forms, does not cause their domination over the surroundings.
