Competition for the concept of the cultural complex “Biblioteka Nowa” in Rzeszów

The project involves the construction of a modern library with a rooftop garden, a complex of conference rooms, a music hall, and a multifunctional hall. The entire complex is organized around a central hall connecting all the main functions, with the multi-story library atrium serving as its focal point. Its “spiral form” symbolizes movement, aspiration, and achievement. From the entrance plaza, through the hall, spiral staircases wrapping around the atrium lead to the rooftop garden - a space for meetings, discussions, workshops, and individual or group work, surrounded by gazebos and pergolas that support these activities.
