The exhibition titled „MONUMENT – architecture by Adolf Szyszko Bohusz” was prepared by “Zachęta” National Art Gallery and Cracow’s Institute of Architecture.
Szyszko Bohusz is presented here mainly as an author of monumental buildings and monuments, expressing the spirit of the reborn Polish State. His architecture refers to history and expresses the modernisation tendencies of the interwar period. The value of his output is supra-historical, lending itself to be interpreted in various ways, also independently of any stylistic costume adopted, which the architect consciously treated in an instrumental way.
JEMS, partnering with Agata Wiśniewska of the Institute of Architecture, prepared a design of the scenography / arrangement of the exhibition.
