The main goal of the project is to create a downtown urban garden city, where dense development harmoniously interacts with the surrounding greenery, taking into account analyses of the climate, atmosphere, and history of the place. Green areas will create a network of informal passages, gardens, squares, densifying the urban fabric, extending walking zones and creating shortcuts. We include internal courtyards, roof terraces, building facades in the green space system. A key point is the upcycling of the former printing house hall into a multi-level park, forming the heart of the project together with the renovated House of the Word.
We have divided the area of the House of the Word into eight equal quarters. The two central quarters will form a public park, while the remaining six are independent stages of the project, self-sufficient, architecturally and functionally diverse buildings. The height of the development rises smoothly from Miedziana Street to a 150m culmination in the corner from Daszyńskiego Roundabout. At the edges of the site, development is adjusted to the scale of neighboring buildings. Tall buildings will be located around a central garden
The architectural inspiration for the project comes from both the architecture and history of the Polish Word House. The visual aesthetic of the project is closely related to recycling; we plan to use materials from demolitions both as finishes and as aggregate for various types of rubble concrete.
