Rajska 8 is a new residential and office space and a great example of the revitalization of a neglected area within the historical centre of Gdańsk. The tectonics of the building, the articulation of the facades, as well as used materials create the urban mood and atmosphere, searching for essential connections with the buildings of the Old Town located nearby.
Rajska 8 is designed on the U-letter plan; it includes a residential and service area, an office area and a public city square. The residential house has 6 floors and 1 underground floor. Just behind it, there is an office building with a facade at Heweliusza Street and a total height of 10 floors. Thanks to the red facade brick, the objects combine harmoniously with both the Old Town and post-war buildings. Porte- fenêtre windows strongly illuminate the interiors of apartments, recalling the proportions and articulation of the windows of Gdańsk tenement houses.
